UPPER LIP LINES

Small vertical lines that appear on the top lip, are known as Upper Lip lines, or more affectionately, lipstick lines or smokers’ lines. The main cause of Upper Lip lines is due to a change in the structure of the lips, caused by activities like talking, common to everyday.

Talking and movements of the lips causes them to contract, resulting in small lines forming over time. The main causes of this condition are volume loss to the lips and thinning lips, common to the ageing process. If you are a smoker, the process of repeated inhalation can heighten the probability of developing vertical lip lines. People with naturally thin lips are more likely to be a candidate for lip lines and they can appear at any time. Some people who suffer from his condition do not feel comfortable with how it makes them look, as it can give them an unfriendly appearance.

Lip lines are easily treatable and here at R&R aesthetics we have a couple of treatments available, recommending Dermal fillers that are designed to give you back the volume you once had and a more pleasant appearance, or Botulinum Toxin to relax the muscles.
