GENETIC TESTING

At R&R Aesthetics we are proud to offer Fagron genetic testing for Skin, Hair, Nutrition and ageing. By carrying out genetic testing it means we can formulate a personalised journey tailored to you.

The Fagron Acne Test™ is a specialised diagnostic tool designed to help identify the root causes of acne in individuals. This test is particularly valuable because acne can be influenced by a variety of factors, including genetics, hormones, lifestyle, and environmental conditions. The Fagron Acne Test analyses specific genetic markers that are associated with acne, providing personalised insights into how your body responds to these factors.

Key Features of the Fagron Acne Test:

  1. Genetic Analysis: The test examines your DNA to identify genetic predispositions related to acne. This includes markers that influence skin inflammation, sebum production, and the skin’s ability to fight off acne-causing bacteria.
  2. Personalised Treatment Plans: Based on the results, the test provides recommendations for personalised treatment strategies. This might include specific skincare products, lifestyle changes, and dietary advice tailored to your unique genetic profile.
  3. Comprehensive Report: After the analysis, you receive a detailed report that outlines the factors contributing to your acne and provides actionable steps to help manage and reduce your symptoms.
  4. Holistic Approach: The Fagron Acne Test allows healthcare providers to take a holistic approach to acne treatment, combining genetic insights with traditional dermatological care.

By understanding your skin’s unique needs, the Fagron Acne Test enables more effective and targeted treatments, potentially leading to better outcomes in managing acne. It is an innovative step towards personalised dermatology, helping you achieve clearer skin by addressing the underlying causes of acne

  • Acne predisposition
  • Skin condition and inflammation
  • Pharmacogenetics
  • Hormonal approach

Fagron TrichoTest™ is a genetic test for hair loss that analyses gene variations and lifestyle factors so that personalised hair loss treatments can be accurately recommended.

Studies show there is a relationship between your genetic profile and how your hair loss responds to different types of treatment.

This means not all hair loss treatments work for everybody and the success of any given treatment is dependent on your genetic profile and lifestyle factors.

Thanks to the unique analysis performed by Fagron TrichoTest™ we can identify which hair loss treatments are most likely to provide the best results for you.

Fagron NutriGen ™ test is an innovative genetic test using a mouth swab which will tell you how your body responds to different foods. This means that you are able to plan your diet to improve health in an individualised way instead of simply following the law of averages.

Nutrigenetics studies different reactions of the body (e.g., weight, blood pressure, plasma cholesterol levels, or glucose levels) to a particular type of diet (e.g., a low-calorie or low carbohydrate), depending on an individual’s genetics.

This test analyses genetic factors and other relevant characteristics specific to you and your body, to predict a diet that will keep you in the best possible shape.

The results tell you how your body responds to certain types of food, what your metabolism is like, and how genetics play a part in your health. Your patient report will give you insight into any food intolerances you may have, as well as vitamins and nutrients you’re missing.

It then lays out recommendations for a diet of the right sort of food and supplements that will help bring back your balance.

TeloTest™ is a genetic test for telomeric length analysis. Telomeres are DNA structures (TTAGGG tandem repeats) found at the end of chromosomes. They protect those chromosomes from errors that can happen during the cell-division cycle, and against external and internal damaging agents.

Telomeres shorten in every cell-division cycle – and that decrease in length is directly associated with human aging. In cases of early aging, telomeric length is often detected as shorter than expected, providing information about the degree of cellular aging of the body. Longer telomeres are related to increased lifespan and delayed development of
age-related diseases.

  • Anybody older than 30 who is concerned about their aging process and looking for solutions to slow it down.
  • Anybody with a family history of early aging or development of medical conditions that contribute to it.
  • Anybody who is interested in a specific and complete follow-up of their aging process during their life.
  • Anyone who wants an effective and personalised anti-aging treatment regime.

All the above tests are carried out by a simple mouth swab, your results will be analysed in a lab and a you will receive a full report with your results.
