Anti-wrinkle injections using Botulinum Toxin, have proven successful in the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, instantly freshening and brightening one’s appearance, and is one of our most frequently requested treatments.

This is a comfortable treatment, which includes the administration of a series of small injections into the affected area. Anti wrinkle injections result in a more natural, youthful appearance and work by relaxing facial muscles which over time, along with other factors, have caused the appearance of lines and wrinkles. This process of relaxing the muscles results in a gentle softening of deeper lines and wrinkles, and can in some instances, temporarily eradicate them.

At R&R Aesthetics, we predominantly use anti wrinkle injections to reduce the signs of facial ageing, addressing a number of concerns such as; crow’s feet, forehead lines, frown lines, and vertical lip lines. Botulinum Toxin also has FDA approval for the treatment of excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis), most commonly in the under arms.

Am I a suitable candidate for Anti Wrinkle Injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections are likely to be suitable for most people wishing to have fine lines or wrinkles on the face or neck softened or temporarily eradicated. This treatment is not advised if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing IVF. During your consultation we will discuss your medical history and this will be taken into account before proceeding with the treatment.

Is this treatment safe?

Providing Anti wrinkle injections are administered by a qualified, trained practitioner, they are considered to be a very safe treatment with extremely low complication rate.

Is the treatment painful?

Patients may experience mild discomfort on application, but this is generally a very comfortable treatment.

Does this treatment have any side effects or risks?

There is the possibility that a small mark where treatment has been administered may be visible immediately after the treatment. This however, usually settles within a few minutes and rarely results in even mild bruising. Our highly skilled practitioner ensures you leave us when you are ready, feeling confident and looking great.

Is there any downtime?

This treatment is considered to not result in any downtime, you may resume normal daily activity post treatment although, you may need to allow around 10 minutes for any minor marking to subside.

My wife visited Caroline for a consultation regarding her tear troughs and nasolabial folds.
