HYPERHIDROSIS TREATMENT

At R&R Aesthetics, we use the anti wrinkle injection Botulinum Toxin (which is a prescription only drug and should only be administered by a registered prescriber), to treat Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), which is most commonly a problem in the underarm. The Botulinum Toxin is injected into the problem area in a series of small injections, to block the neuro-transmitter that causes stimulation of the sweat glands, making the muscles relax and as a result, the sweating reduces or subsides altogether.

This is a highly effective treatment, as the reduction in visible sweating can be dramatic, improving the day to day life and confidence of sufferers. Results are expected after as little as one to two weeks, lasting for up to 6 months, meaning you can go about your daily activities without the fear of embarrassing wet patches or unpleasant odour.

The use of Botulinum Toxin for the treatment of Hyperhidrosis in the armpit is FDA approved.
